Christina Boike has passed the Uniform CPA Examination, the legal requirement for becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and is officially our firm’s newest CPA.
She set the goal of becoming a CPA while taking accounting classes in high school and remained steadfast in her dedication to obtain that designation throughout college at Southwest Minnesota State University. For the past two years, Christina has been juggling life with 4 young sons, working, and studying for the uniform CPA exams, while it hasn’t been an easy journey, she has now earned her CPA designation that she’s always dreamed of.
“I wanted to be a role model for my boys, so they know that no matter what happens in life if there is something you want if you work hard, you will be rewarded,” said Christina when asked what she was most proud of, “My hard work paid off and there is nothing that can happen to take away these three letters behind my name.”
“The Partners are very proud of Christina for her commitment to obtaining her CPA,” said Joel Gratz, Managing Partner at Christianson CPAs and Consultants. “She joined the firm right out of college and has made her impact with internal training and scheduling all while maintaining exceptional client service for her clients. Christina completed the certification process while being a loving wife and mother to her four sons and a dedicated community member to many local charitable organizations. Congratulations Christina!”
The CPA exam consists of four, four-hour sections: Auditing and Attestation (AUD), Business Environment and Concepts (BEC), Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR), and Regulations (REF). Candidates must pass all four sections within 18 months, earning a minimum score of 75 on each part. According to the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the national pass rate is just over 50%.
Everyone at Christianson CPAs & Consultants wants to send a big congratulations to Christina on her accomplishment.
