John practices in a variety of accounting and tax areas, but specializes in estate planning, business entity structuring, corporate and partnership reorganizations and liquidations, business acquisitions and sales, individual and business income tax planning, trusts and estates tax planning, and business and farm succession planning.
Member of Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Prior to joining the Christianson, PLLP accounting firm as a certified public accountant, John was employed as a tax attorney in the tax department at Shell Oil Company in Houston, Texas specializing in oil and gas tax partnerships. He practiced law at law firms in Dallas, Texas and Willmar, Minnesota for 25 years.
In his free time, John enjoys attending various professional and collegiate sporting events throughout the year with friends and family.
