I started with Christianson PLLP in 2019 as a senior accountant.

I focus in Tax mainly on farm taxes, accounting reconciliation, and tax planning.
What is your educational background?
I went to college at UND. I got my bachelor’s degree in accounting and recently received my EA, which is a tax certification from the IRS.
Where are you from?
I grew up on a farm in Winger, which is a small town in Northern Minnesota. We raised Corn, Wheat, Beans, Sugarbeet’s, Alfalfa, and beef cows.
What do you love most about your job?
My favorite part of my job is working with clients and developing long-term plans that will benefit the client for years to come.
What do you like to do when you aren’t doing taxes?
My favorite things to do outside of work would be travel, lake, golfing, and hunting. Both my parents and her parents have cabins so you will often find us on a pontoon or enjoying the sun. I also go golfing and hunting with my friends whenever I get the opportunity.
What are you most proud of when you consider all that you have accomplished while at Christianson?
I think the thing that I am most proud of is having a tax plan work exactly the way you drew it up. When you can draw up a plan to maximize credits, stay in effective tax rates and manage inventory for a client, you can really create a fiscal benefit that will benefit the client for years to come.
What does it mean to be a “trusted advisor”?
Being a trusted advisor means that you have created a relationship with your client where when anything happens in their life, the first person they reach out to is their accountant. Whether someone passes away, someone gets married, you have health issues, or whatever the situation is, you know that if you call me, I will be able to help and ease the situation.
