Session Summary:
We currently live and do business under a wide variety of environmental regulations that influence the business decisions that we make each day. Join us as we review current updates on a number of these environmental compliance regulations including the U.S. Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS), the California Low Carbon Fuels Standard (LCFS), the Canadian Landscape including the Clean Fuels Standard (CFS), Renewable Fuel Regulation (RFR) and provincial updates and also a sneak peek of what is happening with the development of a Midwest LCFS program.
This session will be separated into four topics:
- RFS Recent Happenings: We will be discussing the passage of the E15 rule and how it is expected to affect the industry along with the current small refinery waivers and how the two will affect demand. We will also discuss the RFS reset and what that means as the EPA begins the reset process.
- LCFS Validations and Verifications Quickly Approaching: We will discuss the current status and timelines of the LCFS validation and verification program and things that you should be considering and preparing now.
- The Canadian Landscape: An update on the status of the Clean Fuel Standard, potential effects on the Renewable Fuel Regulation currently in place and an overview of the provincial regulatory landscape.
- Midwest LCFS: A Mid-west LCFS is in the early stages of development, join us as we discuss the status of this upcoming program and what it has the potential to look like.
