Kristie Haefner, Firm Administrator & Lead HR Consultant at Christianson PLLP: Moderator
Kristie is a results driven leader with 10+ years of experience in Human Resources. She’s motivated to continuously refine her skills to strengthen her leadership and business acumen. Kristie serves as an advocate for employees while keeping a focus on the overall mission and goals of the organization. Some of her specialties include: attracting and retaining talent, staff development, performance management, employee relations, and HR analytics. Her goal is to help businesses owners achieve their goals by assisting them with HR related tasks so they can focus on their passion…the reason they went into business in the first place!
Kristie graduated from Winona State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management, acting President for the United Way of West Central Minnesota Board of Directors, and volunteers in many capacities throughout the community.

John Patock is the Financial Consultant at Christianson Financial Advisors, LLC. He holds a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation and a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and Computer Science from Minnesota State University – Mankato. He provides innovative financial solutions to businesses including employee benefit plans, non-qualified deferred compensation plans and executive key-person insurance. He designs highly customized defined benefit plans to maximize employee attraction/retention of both rank-in-file employees and Executives.
Jennifer Quale, Lead Benefits Consultant at Christianson Insurance Agency, LLC on “Designing a Comprehensive Benefits Package – How Do You Compare?”
Jenny started her career with Aflac in 2004 as a licensed professional holding an accident/health and life license. In her current role of, District Sales Coordinator, she specializes in providing worksite benefit strategies to hundreds of clients in multiple states while managing a team of high performing sales associates. In addition, she carries a property and casualty license since 2007, which gives her the advantage to provide a total solutions based approach to her clients. Jenny prides herself on aligning a full portfolio of solutions to include Health Insurance, Dental, Life, Disability, to businesses and employees across all industries. Jenny is a business professional and industry thought leader. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Arkansas and joined the Christianson consulting team in August of 2015.
Cindy Griffin, Human Resource & Corporate Services Director at Midwest AgEnergy on “Aligning Production Staff with Your Company’s Financial Performance”
Cindy joined the Midwest AgEnergy team in January 2012 as the first human resource staff member in the company. Cindy develops the human resource strategy for the company which includes employee and executive compensation strategy, recruitment, workforce engagement, company policy, public relations, and IT services, including cyber security, infrastructure, equipment procurement and short and long term IT planning. She works closely with other staff members in employee engagement and retention, development and implementation of benefits and pay strategies and effective leadership of staff. She fosters relationships with the local colleges & universities, community chamber chapters, and local human resource associations to ensure a business presence in the communities and compliance and best practices with human resource law. She also is a member of the ND Governors’ Workforce Development Council and serves on the Executive Committee of this council representing rural North Dakota and value-added agriculture. Prior to her employment at the company, Cindy’s tenure includes working in the public and private sectors in a human resource capacity. Cindy graduated from North Dakota State University with a B.S. in Business Administration. She currently holds a PHR and SHRM-CP certification in her field.
