Minnesota Paid Leave Law Starting in January 2026, Minnesota will enact Paid Leave Legislation, becoming the 13th state to do so. This guarantees job protection and partial wage replacement for individuals unable to work due to a qualifying condition lasting at least seven days. Paid Leave can be used for but not limited to medical, caregiving, safety, parental leave, and active-duty reasons. A health care provider or professional may be needed to approve qualifying reasons. EPA’s Quality Assurance Plan Updates and Developments
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) is currently a voluntary program for most regulated parties where independent third parties verify the validity of RINs by auditing the production of renewable fuel and the generation of Renewable Identification Numbers (RINs) on a quarterly basis. This QAP provides an affirmative defense for the transfer or use of invalid RINs that had been verified under an approved QAP, while also defining the conditions when RINs must be replaced and a process for who will replace the RINs.
