Since joining Christianson in 2008 and becoming Partner in 2015, she has played a crucial role in upholding the firm’s high standards. She oversees the firm’s Quality Control Committee and Attest department, and performs Peer Review services for other CPA firms. In 2024, she was also selected to serve as the Firm’s inaugural Chief Talent Officer. In an era where the accounting profession faces recruitment challenges, DeRoo has been a champion for attracting young talent. Through job shadows, school visits, and our innovative internship program, she has made it her mission to introduce students—both in high school and college—to the opportunities in accounting.
Her leadership extends beyond Christianson. Most recently, she was chosen as Chair-Elect of the Minnesota Society of CPAs (MNCPA), actively shaping the future of accounting in Greater Minnesota.
