Since joining Christianson in 2008 and becoming a Partner in 2015, DeRoo has played a pivotal role in maintaining the firm’s commitment to excellence. She oversees the firm’s Quality Control Committee and Attest department and performs Peer Review services for CPA firms across the region. In 2024, she was selected as Christianson’s inaugural Chief Talent Officer, further expanding her influence within the firm.
Her leadership extends well beyond Christianson. Most recently, DeRoo stepped into her role as Board Chair of the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (MNCPA), where she is actively helping shape the future of public accounting across Greater Minnesota.
At a time when the accounting profession faces ongoing recruitment challenges, DeRoo has been a passionate advocate for developing future talent. Through job shadow opportunities, school visits, and Christianson’s innovative internship program, she has made it her mission to introduce high school and college students to the diverse and rewarding career paths available in accounting.
