Teresa Carlson has passed the Special Enrollment Examination, the legal requirement for becoming an Enrolled Agent (EA), and is officially our firm’s newest EA. An Enrolled Agent is a tax advisor, who is a federally-authorized tax practitioner empowered by the U.S Department of the Treasury.
She joined Christianson CPAs and Consultants in 2005, specializing in accounting, auditing, payroll, and financial statement preparation for business clients. Teresa now leads Christianson’s Accounting Services department, and she also manages the Litchfield office.
“The Partners are very proud of Teresa for obtaining her EA designation,” said Bradley Pederson Partner at Christianson CPAs and Consultants. “She is a dedicated leader, committed to finding new and creative ways for our staff to become more efficient while maintaining outstanding customer service for our clients. We are confident that she will help guide our firm to even greater success.”
Enrolled Agent is the highest credential the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) awards, they have earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service by passing a three-part comprehensive IRS test covering individual and business tax returns. Individuals who obtain this elite status must also adhere to ethical standards and complete 72 hours of continuing education courses every three years.
Everyone at Christianson CPAs & Consultants wants to send a big congratulations to Teresa on her accomplishment.
